Leadership and Organizational Moves Enhance Focus on Customer Service and Integrated Service Delivery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LAUREL, MD, November 06, 2007 – Today Aquilent announced several executive promotions and organizational changes as an important step to ensure that it maintains the highest level of customer service and continued growth. Danielle Cogar, formerly Executive Vice President, is appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (COO). She will now be responsible for all Sales and Delivery, for Aquilent. Prior to this appointment, as Executive Vice President and Practice Area Leader, Ms. Cogar oversaw the largest and fastest growing business unit in the company and was instrumental in the development of Aquilent's business strategy and solution offerings. Ms. Cogar also oversaw multiple implementations of Aquilent's Epic E-Procurement solution as well as sales and account growth for key clients such as the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Labor.
Additionally, Melissa Hook, formerly the Director of Finance, is appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She will continue to be responsible for Accounting and Contracts. Prior to this appointment, as Director of Finance, Ms. Hook oversaw corporate-wide budgeting and forecasting processes to identify, track, and act on trends in key business metrics. She built and led a team of customer-focused accounting and contracts professionals and designed and implemented policies and procedures to streamline and improve corporate controls and mitigate corporate risks. She also reduced corporate expense ratios through recapitalization of debt and negotiation of favorable terms in leases and other contracts.
In addition to these changes, Aquilent’s former internal organization will be realigned into key customer-focused Business Units. The five Business Units will increase accountability for customer service, account growth, and employee development. By realigning into Business Units, Aquilent will be able to understand its clients’ needs and strategic visions at a deeper level and can therefore develop solutions to support their overall business goals. The Five Business Unit leaders will report to the new COO.
"We are on track for record revenue in 2007 and have a strong outlook for 2008 and beyond,” said David Fout, President and CEO of Aquilent. “These changes will help us ensure we provide the highest level of customer service while continuing to support strong company growth.”
Aquilent also designated additional product development, implementation, and sales resources to support the continued expansion in market share for the Epic. The additional investments in the product support a strategic focus on the challenging environment facing government procurement executives.
"As government spending continues to increase, it is imperative that agencies improve efficiency of their procurement organizations to ensure the best value for tax payers’ dollars,” said David Fout. “Epic offers a proven solution for government procurement organizations by supporting strategic sourcing, improved visibility and shortened cycle times. Not only do you need to do more with less, but it is just as important to know how your funds are being spent.
